The UK’s largest bookseller is giving its customers a new way to buy with Amazon.com, with the introduction of an Amazon Books app for smartphones.
The nsu Bookstore app is available on iOS, Android, Kindle, Fire tablets and the Google Play store.
Users can sign up to use the app to check out books, buy books, or search for books.
Amazon also offers books and ebooks from a wide range of authors, publishers, publishers’ imprints and authors, and other digital content publishers.
The app can also be used to bookmarks books for reading later.
“We’ve been working with the creators of some of the best-known digital publishers to bring the Amazon Books store to our customers,” said Richard Brown, senior vice president of publishing at the nus.
“We hope this will help them to get more books out there for the Kindle.”
The nus has also introduced an improved book-buying experience, with “more personalized, curated recommendations” and “more options for purchasing titles on Amazon.”
The app also includes the ability to “bookmark” books in your collection, with a quick and easy link to bookstores.
Users will also be able to purchase books with “a one-time Amazon Prime membership.”
“For those who have not yet signed up for Amazon Prime, this is a great way to try out an amazing new service before committing to a subscription,” said Nus CEO Matt O’Connor.
“This is a fantastic way for us to deliver the most relevant, popular, and innovative content to our audience.”
The app is also available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and will be available for Android in the coming weeks.
The nuss store will be in place for a short period of time before being removed, so users will need to sign up for a free trial to access the new store.
A free trial is free for new customers until December 31, and customers can return the app for a full refund.
Amazon has been working closely with the publishers and authors of the app, said Brown, to deliver an easy and enjoyable shopping experience.
Users will be able “add a book to their cart anytime” and then “bookmarked” it.
They can also buy books from other retailers, including Barnes & Noble and The Independent Booksellers Association.
Amazon said it will continue to improve the app with more features and functionality in the months ahead.
Apple’s App Store is not affected by the nuss app, and Apple Music is not impacted by the app either.
There is no word on when the naus will be removed from the store.
